About Me
First of all, it’s not about me, It’s about them – the police dogs that I had the great fortune of knowing and working with. I have dedicated the pages on this site to honor their service to our community.

With that said -

My name is Emory Griffith. I am a K-9 handler for the City of Lawrenceville Police Department located in Georgia. I have spent the last 20 years of my life as a public servant - seven as a firefighter, and thirteen as a police officer.

I have been training dogs for over twenty years, and policing with them for the last twelve. I currently work with a magnificent German Shepherd named Andor. He is a strong, sociable animal who loves attention (almost as much as he likes catching bad guys!). Don’t hesitate to come visit if you see us in public. Do be cautious though, he likes giving out those puppy kisses!

Other Things:

I help teach a class on Learning Theories for the Psychology Staff at Georgia Perimeter College.  For the last five years, over 4000 psychology students  have sat through my classes(hopefully learning something!).

I work hard to demonstrate to the public that the Police Dog is a valuable member of the community, and probably the greatest crime fighting tool in  a police department's arsenal.

I openly criticize and condemn the unethical, inhumane, and cruel training of police dogs. Unfortunately, I have seen police dogs fried with electricity, beat with whips, choked until they passed out, and spun around by their necks like the blades of a helicopter by their own handlers.  There is no place in my profession for these horrid tactics, and it has to be stopped!

Thanks for taking the time to view K-9 Cisco's site!
