K-9 Andor Demo
K-9 Andor (Andor vom Hause Veronese)
I am currently working with Andor. He is a male German Shepherd who was imported from Germany, where a woman and her two small children raised him. Andor has been on the road with me since October 2005.

It took me about 6 weeks to train him for police work. He will spend an additional year getting ‘street smart’, and then will really have a knack for catching bad guys.

He has already made me proud in his first year, capturing armed robbers, home invaders, aggravated assault and battery suspects, burglars, car thieves, and suspects of other crimes.

Andor loves my children, and can often be found sleeping on the bed with my youngest daughter. He helps me teach a class on Learning Theories at Georgia Perimeter College, where he is a big hit with all the students.

Below is Andor at 6 months of age, in Germany with Manuela Arns'  two  children.  I keep in touch with his German family, sharing stories about Andor being a police dog.  That's a pet Guinea Pig between his legs!

There’s more to being a police dog than just catching bad guys! A Naval Unit at Dobbins was getting deployed to Iraq, they asked K-9 Andor to do a presentation at their family day event.  He loved the attention!

A lean mean, crime fighting machine!  Here he is showing off his 'stand in motion' exercise at the Merck Employee Festival.
